Bridge Augmentation

Higher, defined bridge

Overview

Bridge augmentation raises and defines the nasal bridge for a more balanced profile, using a silicone/Gore-Tex implant or your own cartilage.

Methods & types

  • Implant (silicone / ePTFE) for the bridge
  • Autologous cartilage (septal, ear, rib)
  • Hybrid implant + cartilage

Who it’s for

  • Low or flat bridge
  • Wanting a higher, straighter profile
  • Often combined with tip work

Recovery

  • Splint on for about 1 week
  • Swelling/bruising mostly down in 2 weeks
  • Refined shape over 3–6 months

Approximate cost

USD 3,000–7,000

Ranges are rough estimates and vary widely by clinic, technique and individual case. Always confirm the exact price at consultation.

Considerations

  • Implant vs. cartilage has different pros/cons — discuss in person
  • Very high bridges risk looking unnatural or thinning skin

Common questions

Implant or my own cartilage?

Both are common; the choice depends on your nose, skin and goals, and is decided with the surgeon.
